SparkMagic is looking for a technical co-founder to build and lead a Unity engineering team.

SparkMagic’s mission is to develop a Mixed Reality technology and platform empowering Unity developers to build life-size world creation games rapidly. We are in the process of publishing our first game: SparkMagic Kart

Subsequently, we will work with external developers to publish other games based on SparkMagic’s technology such as Marble Run, Domino, Roller Coaster (tycoon style), Dungeons & Dragons, Escape Room, Treasure Hunt, etc. The technology will also empower STEM learning experiences to bring the science museum into the classroom.

The games built on top of the SparkMagic platform will turn players into creators. With local and remote Multiplayer modes, the games will encourage players to collaborate or compete in a social experience.  

Bruno Posokhow, the first founder of SparkMagic, is a Silicon Valley veteran who has participated in launching iconic products such as iTunes Store (now Apple Music) and iPhone at Apple, Kindle at Amazon, and Wing drone delivery at Google. 

We are offering a unique opportunity to join an early-stage startup that is about to go into rocket mode and participate in the disruption of the gaming industry. We are searching for a technical co-founder to build and lead the Unity engineering team. The responsibilities will include taking the existing technology to the next level by building it into a platform available to external developers. He/she will recruit other Unity and QA engineers to support the scaling of the company.

Here is the profile of the leader we are looking for:

Must have:

• Extended hands-on engineering experience developing games with Unity
• Engineering management experience
• Passion for gaming 
• Has launched game(s) as part of a company
• Participated in launching successful Unity games

Nice to have:

• Hands-on experience developing using ARFoundation with Unity
• Passion for Virtual and Mixed Reality
• Was a (co)-founder of a gaming company
